Wüsthof Classic White blade : laser-sharpened stainless steel
The forged chrome vanadium steel (X50CrMoV15) blade is forged from a single piece of steel. The knife is sharpened according to Wüsthof's PEtec technology. This means that for each blade the sharpening angle is determined with the help of a computer. The blade is then sharpened with laser precision on a wet whetstone. After close inspection, each knife will roll off the production line for a long life of heavy use.

The steel is modified in such a way that it will have a high hardness of 58 Rockwell. As such, the knife retains its sharpness for a long time. Don't worry if your knife loses some of its edge, just move it over a sharp steel a couple of times. The result is a razor sharp knife that is amazing to work with.

Wüsthof Classic White handle : sustainable and hygienic.
This knife is a combination of a forged blade and a white POM handle, an extremely sustainable plastic. This handle can handle any substance found in the kitchen. The handle is traditionally, and of course seamless, riveted to the blade with three rivets. As such, no dirt can accumulate between the blade and the handle. The crop will protect your fingers from unwanted contact with the edge.
