Inspiration 2026

New decorating goals to start 2026 calmly and coherently

The start of a new year invites us to rethink how we live in our homes. Not to change everything, but to make them more livable, more authentic, and more our own.

January is not just a change of calendar. It's a quiet opportunity to observe the spaces we inhabit daily and ask ourselves if they truly serve us as they should. At Pino & Jacaranda we believe that decorating is not about following trends, but about making decisions that improve the way we live.

To kick off 2026, we propose a series of conscious decorating goals , inspired by new trends but designed to last over time.

The headboard becomes large and dominates the bedroom

In 2026, the headboard will cease to be a secondary piece and will become the element that structures the entire bedroom. It is worn long, from side to side, covering the entire wall of the bed and providing visual order at a single glance.

Besides being aesthetically pleasing, it's practical. It allows for the integration of indirect lighting, wall lights, or even bedside tables, making the bedroom look more inviting, serene, and well-designed.

Metal is visible, but well balanced

If in 2025 metal appeared as a specific accent, in 2026 it gains prominence. Steel, chrome, shiny surfaces and pieces with an almost industrial aesthetic are entering the scene with greater force.

The key is balance. Combined with wood, natural textiles, and warm tones, metal ceases to be cold and becomes a sophisticated and highly intentional element. Just one well-chosen piece is enough to transform a space.

More natural and welcoming bathrooms

The bathroom ceases to be a purely functional space and becomes a small refuge. In 2026, the focus is on natural materials, soft tones, and warmer lighting that invites you to stay.

Wood, textiles, handcrafted ceramics and small gestures like a candle or a decorative piece help make the bathroom feel closer, more human and less sterile.

Fewer pieces, better chosen

One of the great lessons that 2025 leaves us with is that we don't need to fill the house. In 2026, true luxury lies in choosing less, but better.

A well-proportioned piece of furniture, a lamp with character, or a handcrafted item adds more value than an accumulation of objects without purpose. Quality, honest materials, and timeless design are gaining importance.

Decorate with how you live in mind.

Decorating isn't just about aesthetics. It's about routine, calm, and small daily rituals. Lighting a candle at sunset, carefully setting the table, or creating a reading nook are simple gestures that transform the home experience.

In 2026, more than copying styles, the true purpose is to create houses that speak of those who inhabit them.

At Pino & Jacaranda we are committed to a thoughtful, mindful and lasting approach to decoration. Starting the year with these resolutions doesn't imply big changes, but rather better thought-out decisions.

Because a well-cared-for home doesn't follow the rhythm of the calendar, but rather the rhythm of the people who live in it.
